UPA organized a Zoom-based conference with the contributors of the newly published book Historical Examinations and Current Issues in Turkish-American Relations (2020, Peter Lang). The conference was moderated by Assoc. Prof. Ozan Örmeci. Other than Örmeci, Professor Hüseyin Işıksal (co-editor of the book), his Excellency Turkey’s former Minister of Foreign Affairs (2002-2003) Yaşar Yakış, Assoc. Prof. Şebnem Udum, Assoc. Prof. Gürol Baba, Assoc. Prof. Murat Önsoy, Dr. Matthew Weiss, Assoc. Prof. Ömer Kurtbağ, Dr. Matthew S. Cohen, and Dr. Sina Kısacık also participated into the e-conference.
